Christmas with the Woodfalls Band

The award winning Woodfalls Band is holding two Christmas Concerts in the coming festive season. On the 2nd of December the band are travelling to Wales to join up with the highly acclaimed Risca Male Choir for a Choral Christmas extravaganza.

The concert is taking place at Bassaleg School in Newport and begins with pre-concert entertainment from school students at 6.30pm before band and choir take to the stage at 7pm. Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) and are available on the door or from the Bassaleg Post Office.

Woodfalls Band then give a concert back in their home town at the St Francis Church in Salisbury on Saturday 9th December.

The locally based but highly acclaimed brass band, who were crowned the champion band of the West of England back in March, plan to give a traditional Christmas spectacle featuring a host of festive melodies.

Resident conductor Phil Randell said “The band is on fine form fresh from recording a new CD entitled ‘United’ and appearing at the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall so our Christmas concert promises to be a cracker, full of traditional carols and festive music.”
“Throughout the night the band will perform old favourites and new seasonal music including a chance to sing along with some well-known carols and we hope there will be something in our programme for everyone to enjoy”.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and refreshments will be available at the interval. Tickets cost £10 (Children £5) and are available on the door or via www.wegottickets.com/event/411924
