Music in the City!
We were delighted to perform as part of Southampton’s Music in the City Festival this weekend
Music in the city is Southampton’s cultural showcase festival and features a great range of music in Southampton, from funk to punk, jazz, classical, indie, and more. Well over 100 ensembles and artists perform across a wide range of venues in Southampton City Centre on the same day!
We were delighted to be able to perform a light concert of music in the fantastic venue of St. Michael’s Church. St Michael’s is oldest building in Southampton (founded in 1070) and is the only church still active of the five originally in the medieval walled town and is a Grade I Listed building.
The band were delighted to perform a wide-range of music to an appreciative audience and especially to those whose first time it was hearing a brass band! Our concert was compered and lead by Welsh guest conductor, Joshua Ruck.
We are all looking forward to returning for Music in the City in 2026!
