Whit Friday

Once again, Woodfalls Band is heading up North this week for the Whit Friday Band Contests — one of the most distinctive and beloved events in the brass band calendar.

Known as “the greatest free show on Earth,” Whit Friday sees bands travel between villages across Saddleworth and Tameside, playing at as many local contests as possible.
