Concert with Southampton University Brass Band

We had a great time last weekend teaming up with Southampton University Brass Band’s fantastic young musicians for a joint concert at the wonderful Chandlers Ford Methodist Church!

Some of our programme highlights included “Magh Seola” performed by our Flugelhorn Soloist Kevin Darby, Gavin Higgins’ atmospheric “Ivory Ghosts”, and a world premiere of “Velatrix” composed by our very own Emma McDonald!

After a fun-filled set from SUBB, we shared the stage as a massed band for blockbuster pieces “Supernova” and “Caravan”.

We now set our sights on preparing for our summer band tour to Seligenstadt, Hessen!
