Hanger Farm Concert

We had a wonderful time performing at our first concert of the year to a near-capacity audience at Hanger Farm Arts Centre yesterday!

We performed a varied programme of works by a diverse selection of composers to a very appreciative audience. This was all expertly led and compered by our Musical Director, Paul Holland.

The band featured two soloists: our Solo Tenor Horn, Paul Street, who performed Rainy Days and Mondays (The Carpenters, arr. John Barber), and Kevin Darby, who performed the Flugelhorn solo “Tokyo Sunset” (Richard Haydn Taylor). This was a particularly special moment for us as Richard, the composer, was performing with us on B♭ Bass!

A huge thank you to all of those who braved the (very!) wet weather and supported us at our first concert of the year — it was a fantastic way for us to kick off our 2026.

We now look forward to our preparations over February and March for the WEBBA West of England Regional Championships.
