4th Place at the WEBBA Regional Contest!

Woodfalls were pleased to be placed 4th at this year’s West of England Regional Brass Band Championships this weekend in Torquay. Whilst we just missed out on qualification to the London finals, the band were happy with a solid performance on stage and some excellent solo contributions throughout the band.

A huge congratulations to Flowers Band and Aldbourne Band for your excellent performances and respective 1st and 2nd placings We must also say a massive congratulations to our friends at Verwood Concert Brass for their historic qualification to the Royal Albert Hall! We will be rooting for you all in October when you represent the area at National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain Finals.

We have had an inspiring week working with Russell Gray on Martin Ellerby’s wonderful “Elgar Variations”. A huge thanks must go to both Russell and our regular MD Paul Holland for all of their hard work and preparation in the lead up to the contest.

Our attention now turns to the British Open Brass Band Championship Spring Festival in May!
